Lori’s first illustrated piece of writing sprung from her pencil when she was five years old and involved a family of greedy ducklings who ate their father’s food before he returned from a hard day of swimming upstream. Fortunately a tertiary education in Fine Art, English and Communications has honed those skills and she has moved on from ducks to a more diverse collection of work.
Lori brings 30 years of working with visual, written and verbal communication to our team. Her experience has ranged from teaching enrichment courses at a community centre, to designing corporate marketing collateral and writing copy and articles for a diverse collection of professions. Years of working in the advertising and design industry as well as for primary, secondary and tertiary education organisations, has forged Lori’s ability to find creative solutions to challenges.
Engauge reaps the benefit from Lori’s ability to look at the world sideways and find new approaches to our work.
Lori illustrates children’s books in her spare time and spends her Saturdays teaching English enrichment to children who attend under staffed and under resourced schools.
Crazy about: her three children, the African bushveld, art materials of all kinds and her Jack Russell, Chilli, who is convinced he is the boss.
